Venice - 27 young filmgoers from across Europe invited to Venice for 27 Times Cinema / Seventh year for Europa Cinemas Label at Venice

- Europa Cinemas reconfirms its commitment to European film in the setting up of the 27 Times Cinema project, in partnership with the European Parliament's Committee on Culture and Education and Giornate degli Autori/Venice Days.
- This is also the seventh year that Europa Cinemas will be in Venice to award its Label to the best European film shown at Giornate degli Autori/Venice Days.

Just Between Us wins seven Golden Arenas at Pula

Rajko Grlic’s Just Between Us (Europa Cinemas Label at Karlovy Vary) won seven Golden Arenas at the 57th Pula Film Festival. The film received the Grand Golden Arena for best film and Golden Arenas for best director, best supporting actress for Ksenija Marinkovic, best cinematography for Slobodan Trninic, among others.

LUX film prize: 3-film shortlist for 2010

The Europa Cinemas Label goes to a Croatian film

Just Between Us (Neka ostane medju nama) has been awarded the Europa Cinemas Label as Best European Film in the 45th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, it was announced Saturday by a jury of four exhibitors, members of the Europa Cinemas Network.

The Committee of Experts which will examine new applications, will be held in October 2010. Cinemas can send in their application from 1 July to 31 August.

Cinergia, 15th Forum of European Cinema, Lodz

The 15th Forum of European Cinema Cinergia will take place at the Kino Charlie in Lodz from 4-12 November. The European Debut Section is open to first and second feature films by European directors. The festival will notably present tributes to Bent Hamer, Javo van Dormael, Tinto Brass, Marta Meszaros, Juraj Jakubisko and Jan Hrebejk.
