2024, a very ‘loveable’ year
Our 10 best films
We were looking for 10 and we found 12 (and many more...). At the end of the year, we do ourselves a favour and rank our film favourites.
In the end, 2024 was a year rich in cinematic offerings, and it's perhaps the year of our most eclectic top, the least American (not a single film in the 12), and also one of the most concerned with the realities of our world (Iran, Ukraine, Syria and migrants are well represented). A cat narrowly missed out on first place, but Guiraudie's black comedy is (almost) unanimously acclaimed!
