Innovation Day Lab, TIFF, Romania
Cluj-Napoca, 7&8 June 2019
Set up in cooperation with the Transilvania International Film Festival (31st May – 9th June 2019) and within the framework of Transilvania Talent Lab, this Innovation Day Lab will focus on programming, marketing, audience development and young audiences.
How to engage communities and build audiences?
How can we position cinemas to ensure they become vital spaces for communities to experience diverse and attractive programming and activities? How to grow their outreach? How can we have an ongoing dialogue with audiences and make the shared cinema experience unique in a multiplatform environment? In this practical and interactive workshop, within a festival that is committed to showing avant-garde cinema, you will have the opportunity to learn about sustainable programming strategies, hands-on kind of approach to solve specific problems, new ways of developing and renewing audiences by using innovative marketing tools (including social media), to engage with young people. We will draw on case studies and strategies to inspire participants to think outside the box to make today’s challenges into opportunities and turn your cinema into a community and cultural hub.
The workshop is open to exhibitors from the region and to all professionals attending the Transilvania Talent Lab workshop.
This seminar will be directed by Marynia Gierat (Manager, Kino Pod Baranami in Krakow, Poland) together with Javier Pachón (President of Cineciutat and Cinearte, Spain) with a guest speaker, Jean-Marc Quinton (Exhibition Consultant, France).
