“Imperceptibles” Festival has been created to highlight the programming of independent cinemas through secret film screenings in several European cities at the same time.
This urban treasure hunt has the ambition to arouse a desire for the European theatres and films, around the notions of rarity, games, community building and urban strolling.
This festival is based on the collaboration of cinemas from two European countries but also on the collaboration of different actors from the film industry (exhibitors, distributors, festivals) and from outside the film industry (designers, urban planners, etc...).
Several partnerships have been set up, notably with the French Institute of Budapest, the AFCA (“Association Française du cinema d’Animation”) and the “Festival européen du film fantastique de Strasbourg”.
The cinemas promote a common program during the festival, but also cultivate their identity through their own selection and the unique experience offered by each cinema.
