The “Passerelle” project is based on the creation of an internet platform for social workers in priority neighbourhoods, or areas of social and economic deprivation earmarked for special state support, in order to create a link between films, cinemas, mediators and social workers who are often unaware of the cultural and social contribution of arthouse cinema.
This platform presents the arthouse films (documentaries and fictions) currently being shown, as well as additional information such as the themes addressed, links with other films and the material available for each of them (trailers, educational files, etc.), in order to facilitate the organization of screenings in arthouse cinemas of films that are too often victims of a lack of visibility.
The system is based on “La 25e Heure”, a platform that makes it possible to organize multiplexed events in several cinemas simultaneously, or even to organize these events in a hybrid manner, and if necessary, to carry out simultaneous translations of the debates in order to allow the diffusion of these events in territories with different languages. These events aim to reach a wide audience and to be as inclusive as possible, especially for the audience with disabilities.
