Europa Cinemas is happy to participate in promoting the European Elections and invites all the network members to join us in championing democracy and civic engagement.
As we approach the European elections (6-9 June 2024), this is an unprecedented moment in our continent's history. Your participation can make a significant difference in ensuring that every voice is heard. We will collectively decide on the European Union's future. Voting is a way to stand for something we should never, ever take for granted: democracy. Democracy is precious, and our collective responsibility is to keep it strong.
Therefore, in the run-up to these elections, Europa Cinemas and its network would like to give visibility to the European Parliament’s campaign, which is launching on April 29, and encourage higher voter participation. Cinemas are crucial places for engaging with European citizens. That’s why our members have collectively decided to join this campaign and support democracy by screening a collection of videos in their theaters aimed at boosting voter participation.
The documentary called “Pass It On” and its 30 seconds adaptation, specifically adapted for cinemas, are a beautiful letter to the new generations of voters. It features intimate testimonies with a fundamental message: USE YOUR VOTE, OR OTHERS WILL DECIDE FOR YOU.

How can cinemas get involved?
We are providing cinemas with ad-hoc materials to support the European elections campaign, including Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) of the official promotional video. These materials are designed to be screened before or after movie showings, reaching diverse audiences and encouraging them to participate in the elections.
